FRONDS by Judy Mandolf
It was her interest in the works of the late 19th and early 20th century artists like Whistler, Magritte, and Dali that have greatly inspired California photographer Judy Mandolf. It is through her hand-colored black and white photographs that she was selected International Photographer Magazine's photo -grapher of the Year in 1988. And in 1994 her figurative studies were part of a cultural exchange with Hungary. Beginning in 1996, Judy shifted her work to computer generated art.
Through the use of photographs, Mandolf creates images from her favorite subjects; architectural details, figurative studies, landscape and still lives. From these photographs she scans her images into a computer and through a digital medium produces wholly original pieces of art. Using specifically designed software, the artist adds texture, subtle plays of light and changes of color and value. When the viewer sees Judy's work, it gives them a sense of serenity; a different way of seeing things.
This is a very good Contempary art print of a Still Life of a Jug with Stems and Fruit in a plate. This print really is much better than this picture.
