His very personal style constantly developed as he learnt from his studies and associations with El Greco, Velazquez and Goya in Spain and Toulouse-Lautrec, Gauguin and Van Gogh in France progressing from his Blue Period in his early years in Barcelona where he drew his inspirations from the vagabonds, prostitutes and deprived people.
