Born and raised in metropolitan Atlanta, Ann has always been fascinated and challenged by the contrast of her city life with those who enjoyed the simple charm of country living. Many of her paintings reflect relatives and friends in these rural areas. One of Ann's interests outside her paintings is traveling on the US back roads. This method of travel has exposed the character and strength of the people which is reflected in her detailed portraits.
